On December 2nd, the Group Company Trade Union Election and Transition & the First Plenary Session of the 15th Trade Union Member Congress was successfully held at the Construction Industry Park. Li Bing, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Fund Review Committee of Xinxiang Federation of Trade Unions, and Liu Yi, First-level Principal Staff Member of the Construction and Development Committee of Xinxiang Industrial Trade Union, were invited to attend the meeting; Zhu Jianming, Chairman of the Group Company, Du Hongquan, General Accountant, and Chen Baibin, Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, attended as non-voting delegates; 57 member representatives from subsidiaries and branches participated in the meeting. Lou Meiyue, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Group Company Trade Union, presided over the meeting.
At the preliminary meeting held first, the participating representatives carefully listened to the briefing on the preparations for the congress, and reviewed and adopted the main agenda of this meeting, the election methods, as well as the list of vote supervisors and counters and other basic documents.
Subsequently,the official meeting commenced with the national anthem. Li Bing, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Fund Review Committee of Xinxiang Federation of Trade Unions, delivered a speech, highly praising the achievements made by the Group Company Trade Union in serving the development of the enterprise and safeguarding the rights and interests of employees, and put forward hopes and requirements for the future work of the new trade union committee.
In his speech, Zhu Jianming, Chairman of the Group Company, pointed out that the Group Company has anchored the strategy of “expanding and strengthening the main business and developing diversified auxiliary businesses”. He stated that by adhering to governing the enterprise in accordance with the law, paying close attention to on-site management, promoting technological innovation, and fulfilling social responsibilities, the Company has steadily improved its market competitiveness. Chairman Zhu fully affirmed the important role played by the trade union in uniting employees and serving the overall situation, and encouraged the new Trade Union Committee to continue to unite and mobilize all employees under the strong leadership of the Group Company Party Committee, to excel in their respective posts, and to smooth communication channels between the enterprise and its employees. Finally, Chairman Zhu called on all employees to take this congress as an opportunity to unite as one, make every effort to sprint towards the annual target tasks, and forge a new chapter for the high-quality development of the enterprise!
Jia Xiangjun, Chairman of the Group Company Trade Union, delivered a work report. The report comprehensively reviewed the work process and major achievements of the previous trade union, analyzed the current situation and tasks, and clearly put forward the guiding ideology, key tasks and specific measures for the trade union work in the next five years. After deliberation, the congress unanimously adopted the resolution on the trade union work report.
At the meeting, in accordance with the adopted election procedures, all representatives cast secret ballots to elect the members of the Group Company’s 15th Trade Union Committee, Fund Review Committee, and Women Workers’ Committee. The election process was open, transparent and orderly.
Chen Baibin, Deputy Party Secretary of the Group Company, delivered a concluding speech. Secretary Chen pointed out that this congress is an important meeting of democracy, unity and forging ahead into the future. He recognized the positive contributions made by the previous trade union in ideological guidance, serving the overall situation, safeguarding rights and interests, and put forward requirements for the new trade union: first, further clarify the status and role of trade union work under the new situation; second, serve the overall development of the company and make new breakthroughs in organizing employees to make contributions; third, focus on the main responsibilities and main businesses and achieve new results in safeguarding and serving employees. On behalf of the Group Company Party Committee, Secretary Chen said that it will fully support the trade union work, and hope that all employees, under the leadership of the new trade union, will carry forward the “Henan D.R. Spirit” of being exceptionally hardworking, capable, and dedicated, and devote themselves to the practice of enterprise development.
The successful convening of the congress marks the beginning of a new journey for the Group Company’s trade union work.The new trade union committee pledged to honor the trust placed in them and live up to expectations, perform its duties actively with more enthusiasm and a more pragmatic style, strive to create a new situation in the trade union work of the Group Company, continuously enhance the sense of gain, happiness and security of the majority of employees, and unite and mobilize all employees to contribute new forces to promoting the high-quality development of the enterprise and realizing the strategic goals.
